1. Steering Committee. This committee includes senior members of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the National Catholic Health Service, the Director and the Deputy Director of the project. The Steering Committee has monthly conference calls during which they review the project workplan, discuss policy issues that could potentially affect the implementation of the project, and address any technical and strategic issues that may have arisen. The Steering Committee also meets in person two to three times a year for a more detailed project review.
2. Faculty. These are senior technical advisors who provide technical and strategic guidance to the project, as needed, in design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
3. Evaluation Team: These are maternal & child health experts who are partnering with IHI and NCHS to evaluate Project Fives Alive! using data generated by the local QI teams at each site. They have the responsibility to design tools for collecting and analyzing data, as well as establish independent sources for verification of the project outcome indictors. This team of experts are providing ongoing feedback to the team members on analysis and results of the data collected and the project’s accomplishments.
4. Staff. The project has a growing team of technical and administrative staff in Accra and Tamale. Below are the profiles of the project’s core team members:
